Here you'll find some further information on ordering from Cakes by Beth.
If you’ve seen something on this website that you love, have an idea in mind or want to start afresh from the drawing board, I can help. Just use the contact form to tell me about your occasion.
Ordering
I limit the number of cakes that I work on at any one time so that each one gets my absolute attention and is hand crafted with the care it deserves. This means that dates can fill up quite far in advance, especially during the wedding season and at Christmas time. Therefore, I kindly request that you provide at least three months notice for all wedding, civil ceremony and large stacked cakes. Ideally, all fruit cakes require at least three months to mature properly. One month's notice is requested for birthday and celebrations cakes.
I may be able to accommodate your order at shorter notice so please contact me and I will try my best to help you.
Save the Date
Cake designers’ diaries book up quite far in advance, especially during peak times and so if you know the date of your wedding, civil ceremony or special event, it is best to let us know as soon as possible, even if you don’t know the details or the type of cake you are looking for. For a deposit of £30, we will reserve your date in our diary so you don’t need to worry about anything. We can then discuss and design your cake nearer the date.
Payment
For all cake orders, a non-refundable 50% deposit is required, up to a maximum of £150, upon confirmation of the order. This value includes the £30 Save the Date payment that may have been made. The deposit is payable by cheque or direct bank transfer. The final balance needs to then be paid a week before the agreed collection/delivery date by cheque or direct bank transfers, or in cash on receipt of the cake.
Collection & Delivery
I am more than happy for you to visit me in my kitchen to collect your Cake by Beth. I am based near Salford Quays in Manchester. If you require delivery, this can be arranged for a small fee, depending on the distance. As a rule of thumb, I can deliver within a 50 mile radius of my kitchen.
For stacked cakes of three tiers and above, including cakes for weddings, civil ceremonies and celebrations, delivery and set up are included in the price, within a 50 mile radius. For events further afield, there will be a small extra charge, which can be discussed when you order.
